The Danish left wing Kasper Kvist leaves HSG Wetzlar to join the Danish League side Ribe-Esbjerg HH from next season.

Press release from Ribe-Esbjerg HH:

From the summer of 2018 Kasper Kvist joins Ribe-Esbjerg HH. The club has entered into a 3-year deal with the 28-year-old left wing currently playing in HSG Wetzlar in the German Bundesliga. Kasper was last season hired from HC Midtjylland to the German club, where he impressed so much that he changed permanently there in the summer. Also in this season Kasper Kvist has done well - actually so good that HSG Wetzlar has long offered him a contract extension. For personal reasons, Kasper chooses to return to Denmark this summer.

"We are extremely pleased that Kasper has chosen Ribe-Esbjerg HH, and we are looking forward to welcoming him. He is a very reliable left wing who has proven his worth in the world's best league the Bundesliga, where he has a remarkable high score," says Sune Agerschou, chairman of the elite committee in Ribe-Esbjerg HH. "He will be an important piece of our team in the coming seasons - there is no doubt at all".

Kasper Kvist says: "I am very excited to contribute to the Ribe-Esbjerg HH project - it is a club with a high level of ambition, which fits well with my own expectations. The club has a very exciting project and has some visions that I am looking forward to becoming part of. I hope and believe that we can get stuck in the absolute top of Danish handball.

Kasper Kvist has besides HC Midtjylland and HSG Wetzlar also played in the Danish clubs Team Ikast, Viborg HK and Mors-Thy Håndbold.
