Kopljar replaces Tønnesen in Berlin

Füchse Berlin has signed a contract with the Croatian right back Marko Kopljar to replace Kent Robin Tønnesen.

Füchse Berlin and Kent Robin Tønnesen are going separate ways from next season (read more here). While the Norwegian right back moves to Veszprém is his successor found in Veszprém - The Croatian right back Marko Kopljar.

31-year-old Kopljar is 2.10 meters tall, weighs 108 kilos and has already completed 137 national caps for Croatia. He has signed a 2-year contract from next season to the summer of 2019. Before joining Telekom Veszprém before this season, he has played for clubs as FC Barcelona, PSG and RK Zagreb.

"We want to put ourselves in a different way in defense. We believe that the interplay between Fabian Wiede and Marko Kopljar can be an improvement for us on the right back. Now, however, we are looking forward to Kent's excellent performances in the previous round and we want to be as successful as possible," says Füchse Berlin CEO Bob Hanning.
