Lindgren done as national coach
Ola Lindgren confirms to Expressen.se that he stops as head coach of the national team of Sweden.
Earlier today we wrote about the rumors of the Icelandic coach Kristján Andrésson, who may be included in the Swedish national team. Now it is certain that it wont be together with Ola Lindgren.
The Swedish Handball Federation need to find a new national coach constellation for the Swedish men national team. Staffan Olsson leaves the team after the Olympics to focus on his assistant coach job in Paris Saint-Germain, and now it is certain that Ola Lindgren does not continue as well.
Both the Swedish head coach of Frisch Auf! Göppingen, Magnus Andersson, and the Swedish head coach of SG Flensburg-Handewitt, Ljubomir Vranjes, allegedly previously rejected the national coach job.
Ola Lindgren, who started coaching the Swedish national team with Staffan Olsson in 2008, had a contract with the Swedish Handball Federation to the summer of 2017, but can now concentrate 100 percent on his head coach job at the Swedish champions IFK Kristianstad.
