According to the Polish newspaper Wyborczej Karol Bielecki and Krzysztof Lijewski return to the Polish national team!

In three weeks the Polish national team will play key matches in the European qualifiers for the European Championship 2018 in Croatia. After their defeats against Serbia and Romania they must win the matches against Belarus (May 4 in Minsk and May 7 in Płock).

Both Karol Bielecki and Krzysztof Lijewski resigned for the Polish national team after the Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro in the summer of 2016, adding that they did not close the gates eventually, which in this difficult situation was allegedly used by the national coach, Talant Dujshebaev.

Bielecki's return has gaining weight after Tomasz Gębala's injury. The 21-year-old during this year's World Championship in France was the main left back of the Polish national team, but he is out for the rest of the season with an ankle injury.

Talant Dujshebaev Dujszebayev will also be able to count on Michał Jurecki, Kamil Syprzak and Piotr Wyszomirski, who was absent during the last World Championship.

Officially, the roster for the Polish national team will be announced after the holidays.

Karol Bielecki has played 255 caps and scored 946 goals for Poland. Krzysztof Lijewski has played 182 caps and scored 435 goals for Poland.
