According to the Polish website Przeglad Sportowy the contract of the head coach of the Polish national team Piotr Przybecki will be terminated with immediate effect.

In the beginning of February the Polish coach Piotr Przybecki, who became head coach of the Polish national team in 2017, signed a 3-year contract with the ambitious German 2. Bundesliga club VfL Lübeck Schwartau valid from next season to the summer of 2022.

"We believe that the team is in such a position that the coach is needed here, on the spot. A thorough reconstruction of the team requires that the coach personally talks with club coaches, goes to the matches and watches the players live, not only on the video. After signing a contract in Germany by Przybecki, it would be impossible and we presented such an opinion during the Board's meeting," states the vice-president of the Board of the Polish Handball Federation (ZPRP), Zygfryd Kuchta, to the Polish website Przeglad Sportowy.

The formal decision on the termination of the contract of Przybecki is not yet made. In the near future Przybecki must meet with the President of ZPRP, Andrzej Kraśnicki, learns Przeglad Sportowy.

The Polish website furthermore learns, that Patryk Rombel (head coach of the Polish B-national team) and Sławomir Szmal (assistant coach of the Polish national team) will become the successors of Piotr Przybecki - at least until the end of this season.
