The star of Füchse Berlin, Petar Nenadic, has a contract that expires at the end of the season. Telekom Veszprém has shown interest in the Serbian playmaker.

The Hungarian top club Telekom Veszprem has shown interest in signing a contract with the 31-year-old Serbian playmaker of the German Bundesliga club Füchse Berlin, Petar Nenadic, with immediate effect. This confirms the manager of Füchse, Bob Hanning, to the German newspaper Berliner Zeitung:

"Yes, it's true. Before the season there was a request, which we however declined. If someone still has a contract, they are not for sale. I did not want to make the problems of others mine. The Hungarians suddenly needed a playmaker because they had not got Aron Palmarsson under control."

Wether Petar Nenadic stays in Füchse Berlin after this season is still uncertain:

"We will talk about the topic of whether we want to continue the "Nenadic concept" with the coach team in November. There will be no decision until December," Bob Hanning stated to Berliner Zeitung and continues:

"It would be a pity if he leaves, but if Petar wants to go, he will go. It has been this way for years. Steffen Fäth, unfortunately, decided at an early stage to leave us to go to the Rhein-Neckar Löwen, I'm not sure if he would do that again at this moment. I am quite relaxed with the situation, nor are we in the decision-making phase."

There will also be no wage increase for Petar Nenadic. Hanning: "I do not think it's about money. But we continue to do so. The club is more important than one player."

Petar Nenadic came to Füchse Berlin from Polish Wisla Plock in 2014. He has also played in RK Red Star Belgrade in Serbia, Algeciras BM and FC Barcelona in Spain, Pick Szeged in Hungary and TTH Holstebro in Denmark. He has played 63 caps and scored 145 goals for the Serbian national team, with whom he won silver at the European Championship 2012 at homeground in Serbia.
