Swedish goalkeeper on tryout in Denmark

The former player of the Swedish club Hammarby, Swedish free agent goalkeeper Daniel Svensson, is on trial in the Danish club Århus Håndbold.

Århus Håndbold signed due to injuries the 31-year-old Danish goalkeeper Niels Guldborg earlier this week. Both goalkeepers of the club Emil Nielsen and Jens Fredsgaard are struggling with injuries. The 19-year old Danish goalkeeper Emil Nielsen has meningitis and wont play for at least three months. The 27-year-old Danish goalkeeper Jens Fredsgaard, who had a knee surgery 12. of August, is ready to play in five weeks.

Because of that the club from the second biggest city in Denmark are looking for an alternative. Wednesday and thursday the 31-year-old Swedish goalkeeper Daniel Svensson is on tryout in the club writes the Danish newspaper Århus Stiftstidende.

Århus Håndbold, which are led by the legendary Danish handball player and coach Erik Veje Rasmussen, finished seventh in the Danish League last season.
