A new main sponsor, the soft drink company Jolly Cola, gives the Danish top club KIF Kolding-København money to strengthen the team in the future.

"It is a very, very large amounts that provide stability. It's a double-digit million amount (in Danish Kroner, ed.), if we make it really sensible the next five years," says KIF's sporting director Lasse Boesen to TV 2 SPORT. The amount will therefore probably get over 1.300.000 euros over the next five years.

"We certainly have the opportunity now to pick up old Danes from abroad with good reason. It is not always that simple," points Lasse Boesen - but without setting specific names of the Danish profiles, he will try to retrieve home to the Danish league.

"It is not like we just go out and buy and buy and buy and spend money. No, we must built something that provides a foundation over many years", says the sports chief of KIF Kolding-København to TV 2 SPORT.

The club also already has the energy company Ewii as a main sponsor.

The press release for KIF Kolding-København:

Jolly Cola and KIF Kolding København has entered into a unique partnership with the exposure and activation hand in hand. The agreement, concluded for a period of 5½ years, reflects a common desire for a serious, long-term and vital partnership.
The agreement with Jolly Cola includes a greater amount over the period, which will enhance the platform during KIF Kolding København considerably.

We have a clear ambition that our sport brand should be in the top of the Danish 888 league and be a serious international actor. This requires a strong financial foundation, where to make money on own events and matches, contribute to economic stability. We are very pleased to have the brewery Vestfyen with their brand Jolly Cola on board and look forward to pulling together.
