The French League club US Ivry Handball has signed a 2-year contract with the Tunesian national player of the Tunesian club Club Africain, Oussama Hosni.

Press release from US Ivry Handball:

In search of a possible reinforcement in recent weeks, the US Ivry Handball has set its sights on the right back Tunesian national player Tunisian Oussama Hosni. The player has committed for two seasons.

For the next two seasons, the right back Oussama Hosni (25 years, 1.93 m, 90 kg) will be red and black. He will reinforce the position occupied by Micke Brasseleur but will also be able to bring his know-how on the right wing position. Capable to defend, the Tunisian was tested a few days ago on the side of Delaune with success.

"I'm really happy to come to France," said the young man. "This will be my first experience out of Tunesia and it's really a great challenge. I'm looking forward to playing with this group because I've spent a few days with the players and everything went well. I liked the atmosphere and I already knew Rastko Stefanovic and David Degouy. I hope that we will have a good season but a lot of work is waiting for us to achieve this. I think I will be able to bring to the team in defense especially because it is the basis of modern handball but especially the collective is something which is paramount for me. Concerning the attack, I think we're going to be complementary with Micke. I will try to bring my experience, especially against some international players that I have already faced. In any case, the contact has been very good with the leaders, the staff and the players, I can not wait to play. "

General manager of the club, Pascal Léandri details the strategy of the club in this operation: "The number was already of quality and even if Micke was alone in the position of the right back, it was demonstrated that we was able to have alternatives with right-handed players if necessary. A reinforcement on the right back could nevertheless strenghen us. So the arrival of Oussama will strengthen the team and bring more rotations. He is different from Micke in the game style. This will bring a healthy emulation. Above all, what we wanted, with the staff, is someone able to integrate quickly and whose style could adapt to Europe, with a good state of mind. This was the case with Oussama who has a good presence at the duel, in defense and in the way of being with the group. As a result, we were satisfied and the coaches gave their green light. It is a player who, in his itinerary, wants to demonstrate. He wants to progress and we are the right place for that."

The bronze medalist at the 2011 World Junior Championships is expected to take his place in the Val-de-Marne in the days ahead.
In this case, the USI is particularly grateful to the former club of Oussama Hosni.
