Olympic winner stays in Magdeburg

The 26-year old Danish national player, left back of SC Magdeburg, Michael Damgaard, extends his contract with one year to the summer of 2018.

The Danish left back had a great first season in the German Bundesliga-club SC Magdeburg, where he was named as the best player of his position in the best League in the world. Furthermore he had was a joker on the Danish national squad, who won the Olympics in Rio this summer.

He had a contract with the renowned East German club SC Magdeburg to the summer of 2017, but now the two sides have reached a new agreement.

SC Magdeburg had a disappointing last season in the Bundesliga. They finished on a eighth place.
