Vranjes new Hungarian national coach

Besides replacing Xavi Sabate as head coach of Telekom Veszprem Ljubomir Vranjes also takes over the job as head coach of Hungary this summer.

Yesterday it was published that the Hungarian top club Telekom Veszprem has bought the Swedish head coach of SG Flensburg-Handewitt, Ljubomir Vranjes, from the summer of 2017 (read more here). Today the Hungarian Handball Federation states, that Ljubomir Vranjes also replaces Xavi Sabate as Hungarian national coach from the summer of 2017 on a 3-year contract to the summer of 2020.

Hungary finished 7th at the World Championship in France in January.

Ljubomir Vranjes becomes the 3rd head coach of the Hungarian national team in one year and a half after Talant Dujshebaev and Xavi Sabate.
