HSG Wetzlar has signed the 22-year-old Montenegrin national player of the Hungarian club Csurgói KK, Stefan Cavor, to replace the injured Portuguese right back Joao Ferraz.

Due to the injury of the Portuguese right back Joao Ferraz HSG Wetzlar has signed the 22-year-old Montenegrin right back of the Hungarian club Csurgói KK, Stefan Cavor, with immediate effect for the rest of the season.

"We are very pleased that Stefan decided to join the HSG Wetzlar and that we were able to sign a very talented player as him", says HSG Managing Director Björn Seipp. "He brings everything we've been looking for. With his only 22 years, Stefan already has extremely good physical conditions. For this, he is tormented and can play on the semi-position in defense. Now he has to be integrated as quickly as possible into the team and our game system. "

HSG Wetzlar now has two Montenegrin right backs, Stefan Cavor and Vladan Lipovina. Both are a part of the national team who plays European Championship qualifiers against Sweden and Russia in early November.

The 1.97-meter-tall and 100-kilogram heavy left-hander is looking forward to his new job. "I am glad to be here in Wetzlar and to be able to prove myself in the best league of the world. It will be a new experience for me and I hope that I can meet the expectations. In any case, I will give all I have to help the team and the club to play a successful season. I would also like to thank the Csurgói KK officials for allowing me to make this transfer to Wetzlar and prove myself in the Bundesliga."
