The current head coach of the German women national team, Michael Biegler, according to BILD replaces Christian Prokop as head coach of SC DHfK Leipzig after this season.

As the member of the Supervisory Board of SC DHfK Leizpig, Stefan Kretzschmar, previously indicated (read more here), everything seems like the current head coach of the German women national team, Michael Biegler, returns to SC DHfK Leipzig to replace Christian Prokop, who leaves the club after this season to concentrate on the German national coach job.

The 57-year-old experienced German coach has allegedly signed a 3-year contract from next season to the summer of 2020. That learns BILD. Biegler returns after four and a half years. Last time in 2012/13 he saved SC DHfK Leipzig from relegation from the 2nd League with Stefan Kretzschmar as assistant coach.

Michael Biegler has a long career as coach in German clubs as VfL Gummersbach, GWD Minden, Frisch Auf Göppingen, SC Magdeburg, TV Grosswallstadt and HSV Hamburg. Furthermore, he was the national head coach of Poland from 2012 to 2016.

Michael Biegler has a contract with the German Handball Federation as national head coach of the women team to the summer of 2017.
