According to the Icelandic newspaper Visir is the Icelandic national player of Århus Håndbold, Ómar Ingi Magnússon, destined to replace Martin Larsen in Aalborg Håndbold after this season.

The 20-year-old Icelandic national right back Ómar Ingi Magnússon is according to the Icelandic newspaper Visir moving from Århus Håndbold to the Danish League rivals Aalborg Håndbold after this season.

The Danish champions are losing the Danish national player Martin Larsen, who has signed a contract with the French League club PAUC beginning from next season, and Ómar Ingi Magnússon is destined to replace him in Aalborg Håndbold, who already has an Icelandic head coach, Aron Kristjansson, and two Icelandic playmakers, Janus Smarason and Arnor Atlason.

Ómar Ingi Magnússon, who came to Århus Håndbold from the Icelandic club Valur Reykjavík in 2016, has played 12 caps for the Icelandic national team, with whom he participated in the World Champions 2017 in France. He has a contract with Århus Håndbold to the summer of 2019, but has according to Visir an option in his contract, so that he can leave the Danish League after this season.

Århus Håndbold has extended the contract with the other right back of the club, Anders Kragh Martinusen, to the summer of 2020 (read more here).

Aalborg Håndbold announced last week the signing of the Danish national player Henrik Møllgaard (read more here).
