According to Visir.is: Olafur Gustafsson is on his way to Denmark to sign a 3-year contract with KIF Kolding-København.

Now, the two parties agree on the terms according to the Icelandic newspaper Visir.is. The former Aalborg Håndbold- and SG Flensburg-Handewitt-player is allegedly going to sign a 3-year contract with the former Danish champions KIF Kolding-København shortly.

28-year-old Gustafsson is a Icelandic left back. He has a hard shot and is a good defender. Since his departure from Aalborg Håndbold a little over a year ago, he has been playing for the Icelandic club Stjarnan, where he has tried to get his career back on track after a time with injuries.

Gustafsson came to the German top club SG Flensburg-Handewitt in 2012. He managed to play 50 matches and score 40 goals for Flensburg in the Bundesliga. He was also in the club when the team won the Champions League in 2014. Since then he played two seasons in Aalborg before signing a two-year contract with the Icelandic club Stjarnan in 2016.

Gustafsson has played 22 caps and scored 43 goals for the Icelandic national team.

28-year-old Gustafsson is pairing with the new player of the Danish Women League club Team Esbjerg, Rut Jonsdottir.
