The Danish League club KIF Kolding-København has signed a 3-year contract with the Icelandic left back Olafur Gustafsson, who joins the club with immediate effect.

As reported on Hballtransfers.com to weeks ago the 28-year-old Icelandic left back of the Icelandic club Stjarnan, Olafur Gustafsson, joins the Danish League club KIF Kolding-København on a 3-year deal to the summer of 2020 with immediate effect. The Danish side has announced the news of their website.

Gustafsson already gets his debut tonight, when KIF Kolding-København plays away against Bjerringbro-Silkeborg in the Danish League.

28-year-old Gustafsson is a Icelandic left back. He has a hard shot and is a good defender. Since his departure from Aalborg Håndbold a little over a year ago, he has been playing for the Icelandic club Stjarnan, where he has tried to get his career back on track after a time with injuries.

Gustafsson came to the German top club SG Flensburg-Handewitt in 2012. He managed to play 50 matches and score 40 goals for Flensburg in the Bundesliga. He was also in the club when the team won the Champions League in 2014. Since then he played two seasons in Aalborg before signing a two-year contract with the Icelandic club Stjarnan in 2016.

Gustafsson has played 22 caps and scored 43 goals for the Icelandic national team.

28-year-old Gustafsson is pairing with the new player of the Danish Women League club Team Esbjerg, Rut Jonsdottir.
