Lars Krogh Jeppesen, who began as assistant coach in the Danish League club SønderjyskE before this season, has decided to leave the club with immediate effect after only 10 matches of the Danish Championship.

Press release from SønderjyskE:

Lars Krogh Jeppesen stops in SønderjyskE

The Danish League club SønderjyskE have to say goodbye and thanks to Lars Krogh Jeppesen.
The 38-year-old assistant coach has wished to resign immediately, and it annoys the sports director Simon Hajdu Lindhardt:

"Of course, we must accept Lars Krogh Jeppesen's desire to resign. We're sorry; but on the other hand, we also respect his decision of course. I do not want to hide that it is frustrating that he can no longer see himself as part of the club's team. We have had many good intentions and have also spent many resources at meetings. Sometimes, it just not works as you hope, and we naturally wish Lars Krogh Jeppesen good luck in his further career as a coach," Simon Hajdu Lindhardt emphasizes, and continues:
"Now it's about getting a qualified replacement as soon as possible."

Lars Krogh Jeppesen comments:
"I have always entered my working conditions with 100% willingness and passion; but I need to be loyal to myself and the way I want to manage and lead a team both on and off the court. Kasper Christensen and I have regularly had some constructive talk about cooperation. However, we must only recognize that the diversity of things to do and the general way of working has been too big. I'm going to miss the boys a lot and wish them and the club the best in the future," says Lars Krogh Jeppesen.

Head coach Kasper Christensen also regrets that the club must say goodbye to Lars Krogh Jeppesen:
"I can sincerely say that Lars is a good and comfortable guy to work with in the everyday life. We also went into the new challenges with the best intentions and have regularly had meetings to optimize things. We only have a different view of things, and in between, one must also note that it does not always go as we all hope. Therefore, we also respect Lars wishing to stop now, and I wish him all the best of luck," Kasper Christensen emphasizes, and continues:

"We are in the midst of a period when injuries and results challenge us. Here there is a need for a management and a player squad that pulls in the same direction and joins the bus. We are going through the challenges of our light blue DNA tattooed on the shirt, as always in SønderjyskE. And we do so with humility, hard work and the strong collective in the center," concludes Kasper Christensen.
