The Danish left back of the Danish league club Skanderborg Håndbold, Martin "Mauer" Larsen, has extended his expiring contract with 1 year to the summer of 2018.

The 23-year-old Danish left back returned to Skanderborg Håndbold after two seasons in Odder Håndbold from the second best Danish division in 2015. Now he has extended his contract, which expired at the end of this season, to the summer of 2018.

"We are very pleased that Martin has extended his contract. It has been our priority to get him in place as he is very important for the way we want to play with good quick passes. He is the substance of our attack and therefore it has been a major priority," says head coach Nicolej Krickau to Stiften.dk.

Martin Mauer Larsen has previously been a part of the Danish youth national team.

Skanderborg Håndbold is after 6 points in 10 games placed on the 12th place in the Danish league. They face Ribe-Esbjerg HH away 19.30 tonight.
