Jim Gottfridsson has extended his contract with SG Flensburg-Handewitt to the summer of 2018.

The 24-year-old Swedish national playmaker of the German top club SG Flensburg-Handewitt, Jim Gottfridsson, has extended his contract with one year to the summer of 2018.

SG Managing Director Dierk Schmäschke: "Together with Jim we agreed on an extension for another year. I am pleased that, in addition to the existing forces, Jim will continue to be part of our squad. After his protracted foot injury, he fought back super into the team and showed what he has for great qualities. I'm sure Jim will be able to help us a lot in this and next season, and we will be making important goals for the SG. "

SG coach Ljubomir Vranjes: "I look forward to working with Jim Gottfridsson. He still has a lot more potential and he can still help us. Together with the other back court players, I have a lot of creative possibilities and a wide variety of options available as a coach."

Jim Gottfridsson: "I am very pleased and honored to be part of this club and this team for another year. For the past three and a half years, I have completely embraced myself here and feel really well with my family. I am happy and relieved that the decision has been made, concentrating on our common goals this season. What next season will bring, we'll see. "
