Lapajne to Presov

As rumored on Hballtransfers.com previously the 22-year-old Slovenian back court player Januš Lapajne joins the Slovakian champions Tatran Presov with immediate effect.

The transfer of the talented Slovenian back court player Januš Lapajne from the Macedonian vice-champions RK Metalurg to the Slovakian champions Tatran Presov has been announced. The 22-year-old former Slovenian youth national player has signed a 2+1-year contract to at least the summer of 2020.

At the same time, Tatran Presov announced that the club ended the contract with the playmaker Stefan Jankovič, who transferred to Presov from Borac Bania Luka on September 30, 2017:

"For the services of Tatran Prešov we thank Stefan Jankovič and also announces that on 1 October 2017 we have signed the 22-year-old former Slovenian youth national playere, Januš Lapajne, a right-handed player whose positions are left back and playmaker. We concluded the contract with Januš Lapajne for two years with the option of another year. He comes to us from the Macedonian club Metalurg Skopje, but has also played for the French champions PSG for two years. In the SEHA League match next Tuesday at home against the Serbian newcomer of Dinama Pančevo, he will not be playing yet, but in the next games he should be available to our coach Slavko Goluza," said the general manager of the club, Miroslav Benický, in a press release.

Janus Lapajne joined RK Metalurg from Paris Saint-Germain before this season. Before PSG he played in the Slovenian club Urbanscape Loka from Skofja Loka.

Lapajne has scored one goal in the first two matches of the EHF Champions League.
